Capitalize on the capital

Every big city has its university. But only one university has Brussels. In 2010, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel capitalizes on the capital. Because only Brussels can offer studying at its best, being the political, economical and cultural nerve-centre of the country.

Studeer Live!

It’s all there. Want to study political sciences? Everything you learn is immediately reflected in the capital's political life. The same goes for sports, culture, economics… You name it. Studying at the Vrije Universiteit is a true "live" experience. With the Studeer Live-campaign we try to make this as tangible as possible. Small newspapers ads, breaking in on news topics about Brussels, homepage takeovers of "De Morgen" and "De Standaard" when there's hot news from Brussels (political, economical,...).

Catch them where they are

We are targetting 16 to 18-year olds. Where are they? Online of course and more specifically: on Netlog. So, we created a netlog VUB page, with great skins (downloaded over 2,000 times) and interesting info about studying in Brussels.

We've made many friends since! 4,100 and counting. 35,000 youngsters have already visited our page and nearly 70,000 played our old time favourite game "Eat'em a live". And in the meantime, we ensure all visitors have a good idea of what we mean by "Studeer Live" in Brussels.

The university welcomed 48% more visitors during their Open House Days than usual. Mission accomplished!
