No Sweat, No Glory
The club’s management wanted a communication style that better conveyed their core values. Key words: group, simplicity, the basics, making an impression and loyalty... No Sweat, No Glory. This personality must be tangible and consistent across all media - for football fans, for the sponsors and for the partners.
In addition, the Club Brugge website needed updating. Information from various sub sites needed to be merged. Greater interactivity was needed. Processes such as filling out forms and ticket ordering needed to be run smoother and more intuitively.

New spin on familiar roots
We developed a new visual identity that is sober and powerful yet clearly shows its roots. The little touches of gold, for example, were taken from the original 1891 logo. The photography has become fresher and more innovative. You see the players in action. You can feel and smell the grass, the sweat, the earth. The colour palette is of course dominated by the team’s blue and black colours.
The new style was recorded in a corporate identity guide and immediately applied to all stationary, brochures, etc. plus the new website. For the site we chose a ‘big’ layout, prominently featuring photos and videos. The website is responsive, meaning it comes across perfectly well also on tablets and smart phones. Social media have been integrated throughout the site. Fans can share content with their network, follow players via twitter or Facebook and chat in the fan zone. ClubLive provides an extra layer of interaction during matches: live feeds, streaming, polls, running scores for other games, and so on. Based on Symfony 2, the website is blazingly fast and provides all the comforts of a well thought out administation interface for dozens of content editors.
Club Brugge is ready for the future: not only on the field but also in its communications.
